What's New

Every upgrade we've shipped, in plain language — what you and your clients can now do.

  1. 8 July 2026
    v0.13.0

Snap a receipt to log an expense — plus credit-note correctness and full multi-language screens

Point your camera at a bill and Finocket reads the amount, date, GST and vendor into a ready-to-save expense. Plus a big correctness release: credit notes now properly reduce your GST returns, outstanding balances and client statements instead of adding to them, GSTR-1 downloads as a real ZIP with the CDNR/CDNUR sections, you can mark ITC claimed once you file, edit recurring rules in place, and every screen reads fully in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.

    • We're now Finocket — a fresh name and home at finocket.com. Same app, same data, same login.
    • Scan a bill: photograph a receipt and we fill in the amount, date, GST split and vendor GSTIN — you just review and save.
    • Credit notes now correctly REDUCE your GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, outstanding and client statements — and appear in the proper CDNR/CDNUR sections — instead of being counted as extra sales.
    • GSTR-1 downloads as a real ZIP of section CSVs (b2b, b2cl, b2cs, cdnr, cdnur, exp, hsn, docs) that the GSTN offline tool understands.
    • Mark your Input Tax Credit as claimed for a period after you file GSTR-3B, and edit recurring rules in place.

    A new name: Finocket

    • The app you know is now called Finocket, living at finocket.com. Nothing about your account, data or login changes — just the name and address. Update any bookmark to finocket.com.
    • A brand-new finocket.com: every section now has its own page — Features (with a dedicated page per area), Solutions, Pricing, vs Tally and FAQ — with a light/dark toggle and a proper mobile menu.

Scan a receipt to add an expense

    • Tap 'Scan a Bill' on the Add screen (or 'Scan receipt' inside Add Expense) and photograph a receipt or supplier invoice. Finocket reads the vendor, date, amount, GST split (CGST/SGST/IGST) and GSTIN, and fills in the expense form for you to review and save.
    • The photo is attached to the expense and stored privately — only you can see it, via a secure time-limited link on the expense's edit screen.
    • Works best online (the reading happens on our servers); offline, you can still add the expense by hand.

    Accounting correctness

    • Credit notes were being counted as additional sales — inflating your GSTR-1 turnover and tax, your GSTR-3B liability, your outstanding receivables, and showing as a debit on client statements. They now correctly reduce all of these and file under the CDNR (registered) and CDNUR (unregistered) credit-note sections of GSTR-1.
    • The GSTR-1 download is now a genuine .zip containing one CSV per section — including the new credit-note sections — named the way the GST portal's offline tool expects, instead of a single text file.
    • Receipt documents no longer leak into your GST outward-supply totals.
    • After you file GSTR-3B for a month, tap 'Mark ITC claimed' so those expenses stop showing as available input tax credit — closing the loop the audit flagged.

    Everyday improvements

    • Recurring rules can now be edited: tap the pencil to change amount, frequency, interval, client or label without losing the rule.
    • Full Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu coverage — any not-yet-translated label now falls back to clear English instead of showing a raw code like 'daybook.title'.
  2. 7 July 2026
    v0.12.1

UPI IDs save correctly, and amounts show their exact paise

Two launch-day fixes. Saving a UPI ID no longer fails with a cryptic error — during onboarding, in business settings, and on client profiles. And amounts everywhere now show their exact value: 11 × ₹1.50 displays as ₹16.50, not rounded up to ₹17.

    Reliability
    Payments
    Invoicing
    • Saving your UPI ID no longer fails with an 'invalid regular expression' error — in onboarding step 4, business settings, and on clients.
    • Amounts display exactly, decimals included — an 11 × ₹1.50 invoice line reads ₹16.50 everywhere, never rounded to ₹17.
    • The item and client pickers scroll properly again inside the Add item panel and merge dialogs.
    • Your GST settings and business details now show up reliably — everything you filled during onboarding appears in Profile → Business details, including a new Business identity section for PAN, entity type, turnover and sales channels.
    • Invoice PDFs never overlap sections again — Payment details, Notes and Terms & Conditions each get their own space, long invoices flow onto a second page, and the print preview shows the same payment details as the PDF (including on foreign-currency invoices).

Launch day — help centre, guided tour, TDS, credit notes, ITC, and a new front door

The go-live release. A public help centre with plain-English guides for every part of Finocket, a ? help button on every screen, and a guided spotlight tour of the dashboard. Claim input tax credit on business expenses. Link a payment to an unpaid invoice so it marks paid the moment you record the receipt — TDS included. Send credit notes as first-class documents. And a rebuilt landing page that finally tells the world about marketplaces, GSTR-8 and TDS.
